Risk Disclosure

BlendPad is experimental, permissionless software. Using it involves substantial risk of total loss. This page describes the principal risks known to us; it is not exhaustive, and other risks may exist. Read it in full before creating a Blend or depositing any funds.

01Smart Contract Risk

Blend creation, deposits, and redemptions rely on smart contracts that, despite best efforts, may contain bugs or vulnerabilities. Funds interacting with these contracts can be lost or locked if an exploit occurs.

BlendPad has not completed a third-party security audit. Contract code should be treated as unreviewed software, and no recovery mechanism, insurance fund, or reimbursement process exists for losses arising from a contract failure.

02Oracle Risk

Every Stock Token price used in a Blend is sourced from Chainlink price feeds. If an oracle feed is delayed, manipulated, or reports incorrect data, mint and redeem calculations for affected Blends will be inaccurate.

A stale or incorrect feed can cause tokens to be minted at the wrong ratio or redemptions to return less value than the underlying basket is worth. BlendPad does not operate these feeds and cannot correct or override their reported values.

03Market & Volatility Risk

Underlying assets, especially non-oracle-priced tokens in Degen and Hybrid Blends, can be highly volatile and illiquid. A Blend's value can decline sharply and rapidly, including to near zero.

Past performance, displayed charts, and historical figures are not indicative of future results. You may lose the entire value of your deposit.

04Permissionless Creation Risk

Anyone can create a Blend and select its underlying assets. BlendPad does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legitimacy of any asset included in a user-created Blend.

Users are solely responsible for reviewing a Blend's composition before depositing. A Blend may contain assets that are worthless, fraudulent, or controlled by parties who can adversely affect them.

05Liquidity & Redemption Risk

Redeeming a Blend requires sufficient liquidity in the underlying assets. In periods of low liquidity or extreme market stress, redemptions may be delayed, subject to slippage, or in extreme cases, temporarily unavailable.

Large redemptions relative to the depth of an underlying pool will move that pool's price against you, returning materially less than the quoted value of your position.

06Weight & Rebalancing Risk

Blend weights are maintained via automated market mechanisms rather than active management. Significant price divergence between a Blend's underlying assets can shift its effective composition away from the creator's original intended weights.

Arbitrage only restores weights while it remains profitable to do so. If an underlying market becomes disrupted or unhedgeable, drift can persist indefinitely, and the exposure you hold may differ substantially from the weights advertised at launch.

07Regulatory Risk

The regulatory treatment of tokenized securities, stablecoins, and permissionless DeFi protocols is evolving and varies by jurisdiction. Regulatory action could affect the availability, functionality, or legality of BlendPad or its underlying assets in certain regions.

You are responsible for determining whether your use of the protocol is lawful where you reside, and for any tax obligations arising from that use.

08No Warranty / No Financial Advice

BlendPad is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or non-infringement.

Nothing on this site constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Users should conduct their own research and consult independent professionals before using the protocol.

09$BLEND Token Disclosure

$BLEND is a utility token used for Blend creation and fee mechanics as described in the Docs. It is not a security, is not an investment contract, and its value may fluctuate significantly or fall to zero.

The $BLEND contract is live on Robinhood Chain at 0x875bd2fdb280740bf035026057d31c7c33c916ec. Verify it on rh-scan before interacting with any token presented as $BLEND.

No exchange listings are announced and no market data is reported by BlendPad. Burns and protocol fee mechanics begin with mainnet deployment, not the testnet preview.

By using BlendPad you acknowledge that you have read and understood these risks and that you accept full responsibility for any losses incurred.

Further detail on the mechanics referenced above is available in the documentation.
