Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I redeem during high volatility?

Redemption sells your pro-rata slice of every underlying asset at whatever the market offers at that moment. In fast markets that means wider spreads and more slippage, so the USDG you receive can be meaningfully below the quoted Blend value. Redemptions can also be delayed if an underlying pool cannot absorb the size.

Can a Blend's creator change its composition after launch?

No. Components and target weights are fixed at deployment. A creator cannot add or remove assets, change weights, pause the Blend, or touch depositor funds. Their only ongoing privilege is their share of swap fees.

What's the difference between a Blend and a traditional ETF?

A Blend has no fund manager, custodian, prospectus or investor protections. It is a smart contract holding tokens, open to anyone, with weights maintained by arbitrage rather than an authorised participant. It also settles instantly and trades continuously. The convenience resembles an ETF; the legal and safety framework does not.

What fees do I pay?

0.30% on deposit and 0.30% on redemption, plus the pool's swap fee on any secondary trading and any slippage the underlying markets impose. See Fee & Burn Mechanics.

Is BlendPad audited?

No. No third-party audit has been completed. The Audits page will be updated with full reports when they exist.

What is USDG?

USDG is the US-dollar stablecoin used as the settlement asset on Robinhood Chain. Deposits and redemptions are denominated in it, so it is the unit every Blend is priced and settled in.

Can I create a Blend with just one asset?

No. A Blend needs at least two components, and non-oracle assets are capped at 30% each — so a Blend built purely from non-oracle tokens needs at least four. A single-asset wrapper offers no diversification and is not permitted.

What happens to a Blend if one of its underlying tokens loses most of its liquidity?

The Blend keeps holding it. Its value collapses toward zero and its effective weight shrinks with it, so the rest of the basket dominates. Redemptions still work, but the portion routed through that illiquid pool will suffer heavy slippage, or may be temporarily unavailable if no market exists at all.

Do I need $BLEND to deposit into a Blend?

No. $BLEND is required to create a Blend, not to deposit into one. Holding it reduces your fee tier, but depositing works without it.

Are the numbers on this site real?

Component asset prices, logos and 24h changes are live market data. Blend-level prices, TVL, charts and all transactions are simulated example data during the testnet preview, and are labelled as such.
