$BLEND Utility Overview
$BLEND is the protocol's utility token. It gates Blend creation, ranks featured placement, and sets fee tiers.
1. Creation burn
Launching a Blend requires burning a fixed amount of $BLEND. The burn is a spam and quality filter: it makes flooding Explore with throwaway Blends expensive, and it ties new supply of Blends to a permanent reduction in token supply.
2. Staking for featured placement
Creators can stake $BLEND against a Blend they launched to compete for featured slots on Explore and the landing page. Placement is ranked by stake, and stake can be withdrawn — surrendering the slot — after an unbonding period.
- Featured placement is paid attention, not an endorsement of the Blend.
- Featured Blends are labelled as such wherever they appear.
3. Fee tier benefits
Holding or staking $BLEND reduces the deposit and redemption fee you pay across all Blends, on a tiered schedule. Larger stakes move you into lower tiers; the discount applies automatically to the connected address.
What $BLEND is not
- It does not represent ownership of BlendPad or any Blend.
- It does not entitle holders to a claim on protocol revenue.
- It is not a security or an investment contract.
$BLEND has launched on Robinhood Chain. The testnet preview still simulates transactions; nothing here is an offer to sell a token or a promise of future functionality. See Token Status.
